Minor Injuries Reported In Truck/Moped Collision On Hwy 30 In Carroll Tuesday Afternoon

Only minor injuries were reported following a truck/moped accident yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon on Highway 30 in Carroll. The Carroll Police Department was dispatched to the scene at the intersection with Carroll Street at approximately 2:25 p.m. Authorities say 43-year-old Thomas James Edelman of Billington, Mont., was traveling westbound on a Crayfisher motorized bicycle and failed to stop for a red light. As Edelman entered the intersection, he and the trailer he was towing were struck by a southbound 2004 Dodge Dakota, driven by 36-year-old Kyle Evan Haubrich of Boone. Edelman reported minor injuries following the crash and was transported by Carroll County Emergency Medical Services to Manning Regional Healthcare Center in Manning for treatment. Edelman was cited for operating a non-registered vehicle, failure to possess a valid driver’s license, failure to provide proof of insurance, and failure to obey a traffic control device.
