The Ar-We-Va Community School District (CSD) is delighted to announce two positive happenings for the Rocket’s sports team. First, the Ar-We-Va Booster Club has generously donated to the athletic department to ensure all students can attend all home activity events for the upcoming year free. Through this donation, the booster club wishes to relieve a small financial burden on families, allowing students to come to support their peers during games and matches. A paid adult must accompany elementary students, while grades six and up can attend without supervision. Second, Ar-We-Va CSD was recognized as one of 185 schools through the Iowa High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) that had no ejections of a student-athlete or coach during the 2023-24 school year. The district was notified via letter from the IHSAA that it was in the 50 percent of memberships who had not displayed one unsportsmanlike act at all last year. Ar-We-Va Administrators are proud to continue to encourage positive conduct through the students and coaches and look forward to leading the district in the same manner again this year.
