Kyron William Steffes, son of Blane and Colleen (Hackfort) Steffes, was born August 3, 1982 in Carroll, Iowa. He was raised in Willey and graduated from Carroll High School where he played football and was very social. After high school he moved to the Storm Lake area and managed KFC and eventually multiple different restaurants before moving back to the Carroll area working for Farner-Bocken, Sears, and most recently Culvers. He also has spent his time in Carroll helping his mom Colleen and Aunt Doreen.

Kyron loved his children. He could always be seen attending their concerts, recitals, games and cheer competitions. He loved playing board games with them and dancing with his girls. He loved to take a yearly trip to Adventureland with them. Christmas was his favorite holiday, and he loved taking the kids to Swan Lake to see the lights. He was an avid Raiders fan and really hated the Chiefs. He was a huge fan of WWE, and more specifically Shawn Michaels, and could often be found watching it on TV or going to live events.

His children remember how much he loved Christmas, and it was a requirement to come back home for it. They also remember him being there for any and all activities they were involved in and cheering them on. His brothers remember him as a kid watching Saturday morning cartoon VHS tapes on repeat while they were just wanting some peace and quiet and how much he loved the old family dog Bub. He also made sure that Dad knew about any parties when they were on vacation…. “They didn’t have just one party but EVERY DAY.”

Kyron was preceded in death by his father Blane, infant brother Kyle, brother Kevin and nephew Alec.

He is survived by his children Chloey Steffes (Emma Penningroth) of Newton and Kaleigh and Keegan Steffes (Sarah) of Carroll; mother Colleen Steffes of Carroll; three brothers Kent Steffes (Trisha) of Adel, IA, Kurt Steffes (Veronica) of Carrollton, TX, and Kory Steffes of Dallas, TX; nine nieces and nephews and eight great nieces and nephew; Aunt Doreen Stueve of Carroll; and many other relatives.
