A Manning Man Facing Jury Trial On Two Counts Of Third-Degree Sexual Abuse

A jury trial has been scheduled for a Manning man who has pled not guilty to two counts of third-degree sexual abuse after allegedly performing a sex act with a minor. According to Carroll County District Court records, 38-year-old Michael William Alexander of Manning was taken into custody back in April for allegedly engaging in a sex act with a minor under 14 years old at least twice between the dates of March 1 and May 31, 2019. Alexander has pled not guilty to both counts, class C felonies, and is scheduled for jury trial on Sept. 17 at the Carroll County Courthouse. If charged, Alexander can face a maximum of 20 years in prison and no more than $20,000 in fines.
