A Barnum Man Arrested For Outstanding Warrant On Four Counts Of Sexual Abuse Earlier In August

A Barnum man is facing multiple counts of second-degree sexual abuse for allegedly committing a sex act on a minor victim. On Aug. 12, the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office served an arrest warrant for 44-year-old Jeremy Ryan Simon for an outstanding warrant on four counts of second-degree sexual abuse, class B felonies, for committing a sex act on a minor male victim under the age of 12 between the dates of Jan. 1, 2015, and Oct. 1, 2018. Simon has pleaded not guilty on all charges on Aug. 20 and is scheduled for a jury trial on Nov. 19 at the Calhoun County Courthouse. If convicted, Simon can face a sentencing of up to 25 years in prison for each count.
