The Iowa Healthiest State Initiative is celebrating the 14th Annual Healthiest State Annual Walk on Oct. 2 by opening up a 2024 School Mascot Challenge, where one school has the chance to win $1,000 to use for health and wellness projects for the building. Six local school buildings are completing in the bracket-style voting challenge in head-to-head matchups for five rounds, with the winner being announced on Oct. 2. Glidden-Ralston School District, Panorama High and Elementary School, OABCIG High School, Greene County Elementary and the IKM-Manning Middle School are asking for votes from the families in the district.
