Gov. Kim Reynolds announced today (Friday) her appointment of Matthew Schuling as the District Associate Judge in Judicial District 4. Schuling, of Council Bluffs, is an assistant attorney general at the State of Iowa Attorney General’s Office. He received his undergraduate degree from Coe College and his law degree from the University of Oregon School of Law. Schuling fills the vacancy following the resignation of Hon. Donna Bothwell, who was appointed District Judge for the region in June. Iowa Judicial Election District 4 covers nine southwest Iowa counties, including Audubon and Shelby Counties.
