This weekend is the biennial Sac City’s First Responders Appreciation Potluck, and Sac City Hometown Pride is encouraging everyone to come to recognize these important community service members. Committee Chair for Sac City Hometown Pride, Curtis Bloes (Blaze), says what started as an event to build a community relationship with just the police department has expanded to include all first responder organizations.

The potluck kicks off tomorrow (Saturday) from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Chautauqua Building in Chautauqua Park. Bloes says that in addition to the great food, attendees will be able to view the different vehicles and equipment used by first responders.

Bloes says the potluck is much more than just the food and a first-hand view of all the equipment. It’s a time to really appreciate everything that first responders do for the community.
