Iowans seeking employment in western Iowa are invited to join Iowa Workforce Development (IWD) for their September job fair in Denison next week. The fair will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 16, in the IowaWorks office at 504 U.S. Highway 59. Employers searching for new staff are also encouraged to reserve a space at the fair. However, tables are limited, so companies are asked to register as soon as possible by emailing Chad Hauswirth using the email address included with this story on our website. Unemployment rates in Iowa have held steady at 2.8 percent for the last several months, leading to additional challenges for businesses looking to bring on new staff. IWD is scheduled to release the August jobs report next week.
