A large gathering of people is expected in northern Crawford County this weekend as Schleswig kicks off its 125-year celebration. Events start on Friday at 12:00 p.m. with an ice cream social and continue through Sunday at 10 a.m. with the free-will offering pancake breakfast by Chris Cakes. Shannon Cose, co-chair for the 125th celebration planning committee, says much work has been put into organizing the weekend-long festivities and keeping it centralized around Schleswig’s heritage theme.
