Audubon Man Sentenced To 25 Years On Federal Child Sexual Exploitation Charges

Court-generic

An Audubon man has been ordered to serve 25 years in prison on federal child sexual exploitation charges. According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Iowa, 27-year-old William Roland Brubaker was sentenced on Thursday for initiating a sexual relationship with a minor and producing child sexual abuse material (CSAM) with the victim. Federal investigators say the videos were recorded on a cell phone and then shared with Brubaker through social media applications. Brubaker was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshal’s Service to begin serving his sentence. Following his incarceration, Brubaker will then complete a 10-year term of supervised release, and he must register as a sex offender for the remainder of his life. The Audubon County Sheriff’s Office, Iowa Department of Criminal Investigation (DCI) Cyber Crime Bureau, Iowa Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, and FBI Child Exploitation Task Force all assisted in the case’s investigation and prosecution.
