The Carroll Community School District (CCSD)Board of Education will meet on Monday at Adams Elementary, with the road construction completed by the school building. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a public hearing on the transportation facility project. Superintendent Dr. Casey Berlau says there will be some final steps before construction starts within the next few months.
Following the discussion on the transportation facility, members will hear a presentation from Carroll High School administration and staff. After being in school for a few weeks, the board mainly wants to hear feedback on implementing the new no-cell phone policy. The board will then review field trip requests for FFA students, administration reports, and policy updates. Berlau says the review for the Kuemper teacher associates will be reviewed and approved, along with wage reports and donations wishing to be given to CCSD.
Action items on the agenda include approval of handbook revisions at all district buildings, consideration of bowling as an activity at Carroll High School, a memorandum of understanding with Carroll County Communications Center, a therapist agreement with Plains Area Mental Health, and quotes for a kitchen oven for the Fairview and the high school buildings. Berlau says the last items on the agenda include the business office report.
Again, the CCSD Board of Education meeting will be held at Adams Elementary starting at 6:30 p.m. As always, the meeting is open to the public, and everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend.
