It’s National Farm Safety And Health Week; National Organization Offers Webinars And Tips On Safety

Yesterday (Sunday) marked the beginning of 2024’s National Farm Safety and Health Week as part of an effort to drive home the importance of constant awareness when working around farm equipment. Dan Neehan with the National Education Center for Agricultural Safety says National Farm Safety and Health Week has a long history in the U.S.

How safety information is distributed has changed significantly over the last 80 years, and Neehan says much of it is now done online.

The webinars cover topics ranging from rural roadway safety and working in confined spaces to hearing protection and reporting ag injuries. The National Education Center for Agricultural Safety also offers in-person training for those interested in scheduling a seminar.

Those resources are available online at www.necasag.org. National Farm Safety and Health Week runs through Saturday, Sept. 21.
