Two Areas Schools Advance To Final Four In School Mascot Challenge By Iowa Healthiest State Initiative

Glidden-Ralston Community School District (CSD) and IKM-Manning Middle School advanced into the final four of the School Mascot Challenge through the Iowa Healthiest State Initiative. In just two weeks, the 14th Annual Healthiest State Walk will take place, and the school winning the $1,000 prize will be announced. IKM-Manning beat Adel DeSoto Minburn (ADM) CSD in the elite eight and now faces Nevada CSD for the next round. Glidden-Ralston CSD received more votes than opponent South Hardin High School and is currently up against Waverly-Shell Rock CSD Middle School. The winner of the $1,000 will be able to use the funding to financially support health and wellness programs for their respective building.
