Stewart Memorial Community Hospital (SMCH) in Lake City has been named a 2024 Iowa Top Workplace, marking the hospital’s twelfth time receiving the award. The recognition is based entirely on confidential employee feedback gathered through a survey administered by Energage, which measures employee satisfaction across several key areas, including feeling respected, opportunities for growth, and workplace empowerment. SMCH CEO Linn Block says, “Being named an Iowa Top Workplace is a tremendous honor. This recognition reflects the dedication and commitment of our entire team. We strive to create a work environment where employees feel valued, empowered, and supported in their professional growth.” SMCH is a critical-access hospital in Lake City and has four McCrary-Rost Clinic locations in Calhoun and Webster counties.
