A Candle Vigil Service Is Scheduled For This Weekend To Honor Farnhamville Teen Michele “Luna” Jackson

A candlelight vigil service will be held on Sunday to honor a Farnhamville teen who was killed earlier this week. 17-year-old Michele “Luna” Jackson’s body was discovered Monday morning after being reported missing Sunday night. 21-year-old Nathaniel Bevers-McGivney was charged with first-degree murder and abuse of a corpse and is waiting on his preliminary hearing scheduled for next week. A memorial has been set up at the swing, where many community members recall Jackson spending much of her free time. On Sunday, starting at 7:30 p.m., a candlelight vigil service will honor Jackson, bringing the town together to support her family. The family has requested that people attending wear Jackson’s favorite colors, purple and black. Additional ways to support the family have been created, such as a GoFundMe and a savings account at Security Savings Bank to help with funding for funeral expenses and more. Contact points for those have been included below. The family wishes to extend their appreciation for all the prayers, calls, and support that they have received.
