With the weather fully cooperating this weekend, the Glidden Parks and Rec Department is gearing up for the annual Kids Power Wheels Nationals on Saturday morning. Children aged 2-9 are welcome to participate in the races with their ride-on toy or use one of the 20 power wheels that local businesses have sponsored. There are two divisions: stock class for the non-modified vehicles and outlaw for the older kids who have upgraded their rides. To participate, each racer must wear a minimum of a bike helmet and closed-toed shoes. Tech checks and registration will be from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., with the races beginning at 11 a.m. A concession stand will be available, with all the proceeds going to the Bruns family. Again, the Glidden’s Kids Power Wheels Nationals will be tomorrow (Saturday) morning at 11:00 a.m.
