A Breda boy placed in the National Kids Pedal Pull contest this past weekend in South Dakota. Seven-year-old Jaxon Nieland advanced to the national contest after placing first in the Iowa State Pedal Pull Association’s 34th annual championship on Sept. 7 in Kossuth County, hosted by the Kossuth County Farm Bureau and the Swea City Betterment Club. Nieland then traveled to Mitchell, S.D., on Saturday to compete in the National Pedal Pull at the Corn Palace, where he finished fifth in the nation for the seven-year-old class. Jaxon is the son of Nathan and Kayla Nieland.
