Crawford County Memorial Hospital (CCMH) in Denison has earned a five-star cleanliness rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). The rating is based on results from the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems survey, which uses patient feedback to rank facilities. This particular survey was conducted between October 2022 and September 2023. It measured multiple factors, such as provider communication, cleanliness, and overall hospital environment. Chief Quality and Ancillary Services Officer Heather Rasmussen says, “We are honored to be recognized with this 5-Star cleanliness rating. It reflects our dedication to not only offering excellent medical care but also ensuring that our hospital environment is clean and conducive to healing, which is crucial for patient outcomes.” CCMH is one of only 15 hospitals in Iowa and 350 nationwide to receive the five-star rating.
