The Sac City Museum is celebrating its 40th anniversary this weekend, and volunteers invite the public to join them in marking the occasion. On the afternoon of Sunday, Oct. 6, the museum will host a public gathering at their campus at 1301 W. Main St., which include a program at 2:30 p.m. featuring Milo Lines, who helped get the museum up and running four decades ago. Attendees will be treated to cake and refreshments while they peruse the museum’s local exhibits and artifacts. The museum’s newest building, Marjo Hall, will be on full display. The building is named after Joan Wilkerson, who served on the museum’s board and left $280,000 to the organization after her passing in 2020. All are welcome to join the Sac City Museum in celebrating their 40th anniversary Sunday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
