Diane Kay Buchman, age 76, of Carroll, IA, and formerly of Coon Rapids, IA, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2024, at Accura Healthcare of Carroll.
Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday, October 11, 2024 at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll with the Rev. Kevin D. Evers officiating.  Casket bearers will be Jim Thorn, Todd Thorn, Jeremy Thorn, Danny Thorn, Jim Wanzer, and Tanner Thorn.  Interment will be in Merle Hay Cemetery in Glidden.
Visitation will be held at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home on Friday from 10 – 11 A.M. prior to the service.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll and online condolences may be left for the family

Diane was born on April 4, 1948 in Carroll, IA, and she was the daughter of Howard and June (Goodwin) Thorn.  She grew up on a farm north of Coon Rapids and graduated from Coon Rapids High School.  She was baptized and confirmed at the First United Methodist Church in Coon Rapids.   Diane had various jobs following high school and cleaned homes for several local families over the years.  She was united in marriage to Ronald Buchman on June 13, 1969 in Carroll, IA.  Ronald and Diane enjoyed living on their acreage near Coon Rapids where they raised a vegetable garden and cared for their many animals including dogs, cats, sheep, horses and pigs. They enjoyed daily drives around the area and many trips to Branson, MO.  Diane was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan.
Diane is survived by a brother Jim Thorn (Ginger) of Manning; several nieces and nephews; other extended family members; and many good friends.
Diane was preceded in death by her husband Ronald Buchman in July of 2024; her parents Howard and June Thorn; her father and mother-in-law James and Christina Buchman; a brother Nick Thorn (Charlotte); a nephew David Thorn; and a great-niece Shannesy Rebhuhn.
