Door-to-door sales for the 2024 Carroll Firemen’s Dance begin today (Monday). According to Carroll Fire Chief Dan Hannasch, members of the Carroll Fire Department will be traveling throughout the community on Oct. 7, Oct. 14, Oct. 21, and, if necessary, Oct. 28, selling tickets in advance for $2 each for the Nov. 9 dance. Hannasch says it is the department’s major fundraiser of the year, and the outstanding support from the community helps keep the volunteers equipped with the gear they need to safely combat fires in the district, from updated bunker gear to thermal imaging cameras. Entertainment at this year’s dance will be live music from Third Wish. Those wishing to donate to the Carroll Fire Department can also do so using Venmo @Carroll-FireDept or by sending a check to the fire station at 801 Bella Vista Dr. in Carroll.
