During Monday night’s meeting, the Lake City Council approved relocating the city yard waste site. Starting Friday, Oct. 18, residents, and businesses will now bring yard waste to the new location at 3727 Harrah Circ., approximately three miles southwest of town. All yard waste, including trees originating from Lake City, will be accepted, while rubber tires, appliances, chemicals, furniture, concrete, wood pallets, and other construction materials will be prohibited. City officials asked residents to follow all posted instructions to ensure safety. Yard waste may continue to be brought to the current yard waste site until the opening of the new location at 9 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 18.
