George Brincks, 81 of Templeton, died Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at the Friendship Home in Audubon, Iowa.
A private family graveside service will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Templeton on Friday, October 11, 2024. Casket Bearers will be George’s family. A Celebration of George’s Life will be held at the Still in Templeton beginning at 5 p.m. on Friday.

George Brincks, the oldest son of Louis H. and Marcella (Schultes) Brincks, was born on October 21, 1942. George spent his childhood on the family farm between Dedham and Coon Rapids, attending St. Joseph Grade School.
At 17, George began working with the Cliff Danner family as a hired hand, marking the start of his lifelong dedication to farming and trucking. He married Geneva (Fuchs) on August 12, 1967, and they established their home in Templeton, Iowa. In 1968, he purchased his first truck from his father-in-law, Don Fuchs, and founded George Brincks Trucking, hauling steel from Chicago to Denver and Salt Lake City. George also pursued his passion for farming, as he purchased his first farm in 1983. He came off the road in 2018 and hauled grain locally for Landus.
George passed away on October 8, 2024. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Geneva; his children, Sandi Brincks of Templeton, Stan Brincks of Templeton, and Suzi Brincks of New Hope; and his grandchildren, Gracie, Gabbie, and Gavin Brincks. He is also survived by his siblings: Alice Miskimins of Perry, Eileen Sander of Carroll, Lavonne (Gary) Dungan of Ida Grove, Joan (Paul) Bernholtz of Carroll, Doris (Mike) Piriak of Stafford, VA, and Jerry (Deb) Brincks of Lidderdale, along with his in-laws, Lauren (Bev) Fuchs, Sheryl (Dale) Gust, and Joann (Rich) Kotan.
George was preceded in death by his parents, Louis H. and Marcella Brincks; his brothers, Jim and Donald Brincks; his parents-in-law, Don and Alma Brincks; and brothers-in-law, Glen Miskimins, Denis Sander, and Leon Fuchs.
