City Of Kimballton Swears In Three Newly Elected Council Members From Special Election

During its Tuesday city council meeting, the City of Kimballton swore in the three newly elected council members. Back in August, the city reported that the three previous council members turned in their resignations, meaning there was no longer a quorum for any city action. A special election was held on Oct. 1 to elect the new members to fill the vacancies for the remainder of the term in December 2025, and according to the Audubon County Auditor’s Office, Sheila Partridge, Thomas Lake, and Dirk Wasson received the most votes, earning the seats to serve on the city council. Partridge received 49 votes, 23% of votes, Lake received 26 or 12%, and Wasson received 52 or 25%. The total number of votes was 210, 37 percent of all eligible voters in Kimballton.
