Nathan Alan Stocker, age 45, of Manilla, IA, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll.
A Celebration of Life Reception will be hosted by Nathan’s family from 1-5 P.M. on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at the Eastside Shelter House at Swan Lake State Park in Carroll.

Nathan was born on October 12, 1978 in Ottumwa, IA, and he was the son of Tony and Nina (Rupe) Stocker. He grew up in Ottumwa where he graduated from high school in 1997 where he earned several science awards. Nathan worked at Fareway in Ottumwa from age 16 and then attended Indian Hills College after high school. He then worked for Cargill Excel in Ottumwa and then moved to Carroll and worked for Farmland Foods. He was married to Jamie Weeks on June 20, 2009 in Maple River, IA. The couple made their home in Carroll and moved to Manilla in 2023. Nathan was currently employed by Walmart in Carroll. He enjoyed playing cards, fishing, disc golf, X-Box, and most of all spending time with his family.
Nathan is survived by his wife Jamie Stocker of Manilla; his children: Aaliyah Weeks-Stocker (19), Abby Weeks (17), Ethan Stocker (13), and Theo Stocker (2); his parents Tony and Nina Stocker of Ottumwa; a brother Jarrod Stocker of Agency, IA; his mother-in-law Linda Weeks of Manilla; a sister-in-law Stacie Schaefer of Manilla; a brother-in-law Justin Weeks (Shauna) of Glidden; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Nathan was preceded in death by his grandparents; two uncles; and his father-in-law Rusty Weeks.
