Wednesday, Oct. 16, is the first day eligible voters can cast absentee ballots in person at their respective county’s auditor’s office. Wednesday is also the first day that election officials can send out mailed ballots to voters who have requested them. They must be returned to the auditor’s office by mail or in-person by the time polls close on Election Day, Nov. 5. Grassley made his comments Tuesday during his weekly Capitol Hill Report with reporters.
