Tomorrow (Friday) is the Carroll Lions Club’s annual Soup Day fundraiser, and organizers are excited to feed hundreds of people while also raising money for the community. Soup Day runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. in Carroll’s Graham Park Shelter House. Lions Club President Sondra Rierson says the event is the organization’s largest fundraiser of the year, and members are always appreciative of the crowds it draws.
The all-you-can-eat meals are $13 for adults and $8 for kids 10 years old and younger. Rierson says they’ll have an excellent spread of hot soups for patrons to enjoy.
The best part about Soup Day is that 100 percent of the proceeds support Lions Club projects in the area.
The Lions Club typically sees around 800 people throughout the day during the fundraiser and generally raises between $4,000 and $6,000 from the event. Again, the Carroll Lions Club annual Soup Day is tomorrow (Friday) from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Graham Park Shelter House.
