The Crawford County Pheasants Forever is offering a free educational clinic for hunters to prepare for the upcoming hunting season. This Sunday at Yellow Smoke Park, an “Ask A Vet/Bird Dog First Aid Field” clinic will be held to answer any questions and teach hunters how to care for a canine hunting companion. Vice President for the chapter, Jake Segebart, says the board threw around the idea a couple of years ago, holding their first class last year. He says Dr. Shane Reinke from Lincoln Highway Hospital in Denison will be the speaker for the event.

The clinic will begin at 4:00 p.m. at the Lookout Shelter at Yellow Smoke. Segebart says they will be provided a free meal this year, as they learned from last year that this class tends to last a couple of hours due to the various topics discussed.

Segebart asks anyone interested in attending to please reach out to the chapter via their Facebook page or contact him at 712-790-1497. Door prizes will also be given out to participants. Segebart says the chapter is excited to offer this opportunity to hunters, especially at no cost.
