Farmer Transported For Burn Injuries Following Field And Combine Fire North Of Glidden On Thursday

A farmer has been transported to St. Anthony Regional Hospital to treat burns after a field and combine caught fire north of Glidden on Thursday. Glidden and Lanesboro Fire Departments were dispatched at approximately 11:30 a.m. this (Thursday) morning for a report of a field and possibly a combine on fire just west of the 14000 block of Velvet Ave, around three miles south of Lanesboro. Carroll County Emergency Medical Services were called out at approximately 11:40 a.m. for a 71-year-old male farmer with burns on his hands and back and feeling dizzy. The extent of the injuries to the farmer and damage to the field and combine remain unknown at this time.
