springbrook-state-park

Springbrook State Park in Guthrie County is looking to re-establish a friends group to support the recreational nature park. The 825 acres of timber, rolling hills, and a lake provide a variety of activities, including hiking, camping, fishing, swimming, and more. Volunteers serving on the friends group will assist the park with local outreach and fundraising, building and facility improvements, land stewardship, and educational programs. An informative meeting for those interested in volunteering for the group will be on Nov. 6 at the Springbrook State Park office from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Anyone with additional questions or to RSVP for the informational session is asked to contact the park office at 641-747-3591 or email at reaghan.oakleaf@dnr.iowa.gov.
