CCSD Tiger Cupboard Asking For The Community’s Help To Replenish Hygiene Supplies

CCSD-2

The Carroll Community School District (CCSD) is asking for donations to replenish the Tiger Cupboard food pantry so that it can continue to assist families in Carroll County. The Tiger Cupboard started in September 2022, providing food and other essential items from the Food Bank of Iowa to participating families on the first and third Wednesday of each month. High School Principal Kourtney Abbotts says they saw an influx of attendees in the last few weeks.

Abbotts says they provide every car with multiple meals, protein, and high-quality snacks that are delivered off the truck from the Food Bank of Iowa. However, food is not the only item that families need.

Not only is the community stepping up to help, but Abbots says students in the Ijag class are preparing flyers for teachers to send home to parents and other initiatives.

Currently, the Tiger Cupboard is working to prepare 15 Thanksgiving meals for families identified as needing assistance for the upcoming holiday. Anyone interested in donating or having further questions can reach Abbotts using the contact points included below.
