Kuemper High School Students Helped Around Carroll As Part of Annual Service Day

Kuemper Catholic High School students got out into the community yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon for their annual Kuemper Service Day. Students substituted time in the classroom to assist community members at various residential and non-profit business buildings to lend a hand with items needing to be completed. Senior Mason Knerl says this is just one of the many ways to continue practicing the Catholic faith while supporting community members.

Knerl says his group focused on helping a resident in town do chores that needed to be done.

There were non-profits around town that received help, including the Animal Rescue of Carroll, New Hope Village and Bargain Shoppe, and local parishes around Kuemper Catholic High School. Cole Handlos and James Jannsen assisted at Swan Lake State Park, preparing sandwiches and cleaning up around the shelter house for a birthday party. Caden Vonnahme says he didn’t get to go out into the community but assisted with a Kuemper High School project that helps serve students.
