The City of Glidden will be having People Service replace the filter media for the iron/manganese filter this upcoming Monday. During the replacement, residents can expect the water not to be softened and have a small amount of manganese, with possible water discoloration. While changing out the media, People Service will be disinfecting the water so it will remain safe to use without a boil order, which needs to be in place. Residents with infants under six months are advised to use bottled water out of an abundance of caution. The replacement work should be finished by the end of the day on Monday.
