Calhoun County election results saw over 5,000 voters cast their ballots, with the highest “write-in” reported for an uncontested race in the seven-county region. In the Calhoun County Board of Supervisors, District 1 seat, Republican David George received 74 percent of the votes. However, 25 percent of write-ins were reported, contrasting the typical less than three percent usually seen. District 2 board of supervisors was uncontested, with Cory Ridgely (Rep.) receiving 97% of the votes. Republican Robin Batz received 99% of the votes for county auditor, with only .37 percent going for write-ins. Republican incumbent Patrick Riley will remain Calhoun County Sheriff, receiving 98% of the votes. Of the 6,736 registered voters in Calhoun County, 5,120 or 76% turned out.
