Stewart Memorial Community Hospital (SMCH) Auxiliary donates $20,000 towards the purchase of a new surgical table. Annually, the volunteer group donates to the hospital to help purchase equipment or other various needs to help staff continue offering quality patient care. The auxiliary raises funds in several ways, from the annual membership drive, gift shop sales, and other fundraising events like “Bazaar,” “Trivia Night,” and more. SMCH administration and staff are grateful and proud to have such a thriving group to support the hospital. With nearly 1,300 members, the SMCH Auxiliary is one of the largest in Iowa and has donated over one million dollars to purchase medical equipment and to cover the cost of building projects in the past 60 years. SMCH administration wishes to extend their thanks to the auxiliary, saying, “This vital addition will enhance patient care and improve the experience for our surgical team. Thank you, Auxiliary members, for your ongoing dedication and support.”
