Tomorrow (Thursday) is National Rural Health Day, and St. Anthony Regional Hospital staff are marking the occasion with an appreciation breakfast for area farmers. Food will be served beginning at 7:30 a.m. in the St. Anthony Regional Hospital fourth-floor surgery center room. Following the meal, two medical professionals, Dr. Michael Dirkx and Susan Kock, RN, will host a seminar on Farm Safety in Agriculture, which will highlight ways for those in the agriculture industry to protect themselves and their health. Afterward, the St. Anthony Education Department will offer a CPR course for attendees. There is no cost to attend the St. Anthony Farmer Appreciation Breakfast on Thursday, but RSVPs are requested by calling 712-794-5287.
