Tomorrow (Friday) is the United Way of Carroll’s annual Chili Cookoff, which is one of the organization’s largest fundraisers of the year. United Way Executive Director Mallory Patterson says they’ll have more than a half-dozen different chili offerings for attendees to taste and rank.

They’ll start serving at 5 p.m. at the Piranha Club. Patterson says it is a minimum $5 donation to the United Way for all-you-can-eat chili. The silent auction also begins at 5 p.m. and has a great selection of items for people to bid on.

Patterson adds they also have a special auction in the lineup for this year: a seven-night stay in the Cayman Islands.

Patterson adds they are looking forward to a big crowd on Friday. She says the best part about the United Way of Carroll’s Chili Cookoff is that all the money raised stays here in Carroll County.
