Sac City Hometown Pride (HTP) is sponsoring the 5th annual Angel Tree Campaign, with over 100 children and senior citizens on the list this year. What started during the COVID-19 pandemic, when many individuals were isolated, was that the angel tags gave residents and organizations a list of recipients’ wishes/wants for them to support by purchasing items for Christmas presents. Trees with these tags are placed at several businesses throughout the Sac City community, including Rosie’s Coffee Shop, Sac City Hardware, Details Flowers Etc., and the Giftique. Participants will pick a tag from a tree and write the code and name on the store’s spreadsheet. After purchasing and wrapping a gift, the tag will be attached to the gift and returned to the store by Friday, December 13. Sac City HTP encourages all who can support a resident in Park View, Park Place nursing homes, or an East Sac County Elementary student to ensure everyone gets something on Christmas. The organization wants to thank the community again for assisting them with this project and looks forward to continuing to support those who need it most.
