Thomas Rest Haven and Park View Assisted Living in Coon Rapids raises close to $5,000 during their annual Basket Auction fundraiser. Over 40 businesses and individuals donated various items, from holiday décor, sports team gear, and more, to create 48 bidding items for the nursing home to raise money for activities requested explicitly by residents. Bids ranged from $35 to $170, with all proceeds going to Thomas Rest Haven and Park View Assisted Living. The total raised was $4,597. Thomas Rest Haven staff and residents wish to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who placed a bid for the continued support of the long-term care center to live by its mission statement: “To be a thriving healthcare community in which the individual needs and desires of residents direct and shape daily life.”
