The Audubon Chamber of Commerce will celebrate the start of the holiday season with various activities while encouraging consumers to shop locally during the annual Audubon Hometown Christmas. This Saturday, throughout the day, the event will feature activities, food, and shopping to get individuals into the Christmas spirit. Tiffany Wittrock, chamber director, says Hometown Christmas has been a tradition in the Audubon community for a while, but every year, something new is incorporated into the plan.
The day kicks off at 9 a.m. with the Holiday Bazaar in the Agri-Hall at the Audubon County Fairgrounds. Wittrock says it will be an excellent opportunity for shopping local, food, and Christmas-themed fun.
Wittrock says the rest of the night’s activities will be taken over by the Albert Committee with Santa and Elf down at Albert the Bull Park starting at 3 p.m.
Any costs associated with the Hometown Christmas events will stay local, from the fair board and the Albert Committee, which helps keep the famous statue in tip-top shape, to all the businesses run by individuals in the community.
Again, Audubon’s Hometown Christmas celebration is this Saturday, and there is something planned for everyone. Come bundled up to stay warm and kick off the Christmas season by staying local.
