The Carroll Fire Department responded early this (Wednesday) afternoon to St. Lawrence Parish Hall after the building’s fire alarm was set off. The call came in at approximately 1:45 p.m., where an officer on the scene reported smelling smoke inside the parish hall but saw no visible flames. Crews established the cause for the triggered alarm was an electrical issue but could not determine the exact cause. The fire department returned to the station at approximately 2:30 p.m. after no discovery of flames, smoke, or a cause for the issue was found. No students or staff needed to be evacuated or harmed during the incident.
