The Carroll Fire Department battled against the cold and wind to put out a structure fire north of Carroll before it spread on Wednesday evening. The call came in around 4:53 p.m. for a small building located on a farm in the 17000 block of Mahogany Ave. Crews were able to extinguish the blaze before significant damage was caused. The department returned to the station at approximately 5:44 p.m.
