The Animal Rescue of Carroll (ARC) is bringing critters into the holiday festivities with “Paws for the Cause” this weekend in downtown Carroll. From 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7, volunteers and shelter animals will be stationed near the Westgate Mall, raising funds and searching for some of the animals’ forever homes. ARC Director Jessica Briggs says supporters are asked to bring animal toys or food to be entered into a raffle drawing. Tickets are also available for $3 each. Pets are also welcome to join Paws for the Cause, and Briggs says they’ll have photo opportunities with a well-known holiday character.
Briggs adds Saturday is a perfect opportunity for households searching for their newest members to meet various animals.
Briggs says adopting is always more cost-effective than acquiring furry friends from a breeder, but this month, the associated fees are even lower.
Again, Paws for the Cause is on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Westgate Mall in downtown Carroll.
