Denison Man Remains In Custody After Threatening Individuals While On Probation For Previous Criminal Charges

A Denison man remains in custody for approaching individuals armed with a weapon while on probation for previous criminal charges. According to Crawford County District Court records, 53-year-old Tyson Campbell approached a citizen around N. Main Street and 1st Ave in Denison on Oct. 24, displaying a knife (switchblade), and stated he was going “to find some meth and kill somebody.” Campbell was reported to have made this statement to another citizen in the same area a short time later. At the time of his arrest, Campbell was currently serving probation on multiple charges after resisting arrest when attempting to break into a house back in April of 2022 and injuring officers. Along with violations of his parole, Campbell is also facing a criminal charge of going armed with intent, a class D felony, which he has pled not guilty to. He is currently being held at the Crawford County Jail on a $10,000 surety bond, awaiting a jury trial to be scheduled.
