A Scranton house was deemed a complete loss after electrical issues caused multiple fires throughout Wednesday afternoon and early Thursday morning. The Scranton Fire Department was dispatched around 1:00 p.m. Wednesday for a house on the south end of town with flames due to electrical problems inside a wall. Crews put out the fire and returned back to the station before being called out again around 3:00 p.m. for a report of smoke. The department was there through the remainder of the afternoon, ensuring no other signs of a flame or smoke were present. At approximately 4:00 a.m. Thursday morning, crews were dispatched to the same residence again, with the house fully engulfed in flames. No one was injured, but the house is a complete loss. The Greene County Sheriff’s Office, Greene County Ambulance, Alliant Energy, and Black Hills Gas all assisted the Scranton Fire Department on the scene.
