The Carroll City Council will host a special meeting on Monday evening with only one item of business on the agenda: a closed session to discuss the potential purchase or sale of real estate. The meeting begins at 5:15 p.m. at Carroll City Hall. Following roll call, city officials will immediately move into the closed session under Iowa Code 21.5(1)(j), “To discuss the purchase or sale of particular real estate only where premature disclosure could be reasonably expected to increase the price the governmental body would have to pay for that property or reduce the price the governmental body would receive for that property.” The council is not expected to take formal action after returning to open session.
