Kevin Heithoff of Minnesota, formerly of Templeton

Kevin Francis Heithoff, 62 of Fridley Minnesota, formerly of Templeton, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2024.

A private funeral service will be held at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll with Fr. Terry Roder officiating.  Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Templeton.

He was born on December 2, 1962 in Carroll, IA, and was the youngest child to Harold and Alice (Tigges) Heithoff of Templeton.

He attended Halbur-Templeton-Roselle Elementary School and Kuemper High School where he was a member of the Kuemper wrestling and football teams. After graduating in 1981, he earned his bachelor’s degree at Iowa State University and furthered his education at the University of Madison- Wisconsin. Kevin was employed at Benchmark Electronics as a Component Engineer in St. Paul, MN.

Kevin enjoyed spending time with his family members. Especially, his nieces and nephews. He loved playing card games with them, his favorite was Shanghai Rummy. Kevin enjoyed traveling when he could and watching   solar eclipses. He also enjoyed trivia questions. For a while he included trivia questions in the quarterly updates that he sent out to his siblings. He spent much of his free time around his childhood farm where he planned to retire.

Kevin will be deeply missed by his siblings: Linn (Gayle) Heithoff of Harvard, IL, Norman Heithoff of Peoria, IL, Rahn Heithoff of Ames, IA, Kim (Heather) Heithoff of Portland, ME, Myron (Joan) Heithoff of Anaheim, CA, Craig (Julie) Heithoff of Carroll, IA, and Pam Morrissey of Waterloo, IA, 5 nieces, 10 nephews, 6 great-nieces and 6 great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandparents, Bernard “Barney” and Rose Heithoff of Templeton, and Frank and Mary Tigges of Dedham.
