Four Sac City Residents Charged In Connection To Vandalism In Riverview Park

Four individuals have been charged in connection to vandalism in Sac City’s Riverview Park, reported last month. According to Sac City Police Chief John Thomsen, authorities discovered several trees had been spray painted using red and black paint, with the initials “T+R” and what appeared to be swastikas. Damage to the trees was estimated at around $3,500. Following their investigation, the Sac City Police Department announced this (Tuesday) morning that Kali Huegerich of Sac City, Rylee Pearl of Sac City, Tarissa Shull of Sac City, and Damien Briner of Sac City have all been charged with second-degree criminal mischief, a class D felony. Authorities say the case remains under investigation, and additional charges are possible.  A class D felony in Iowa carries a maximum penalty of up to five years in prison and $7,500 in fines.
