The Carroll County Board of Supervisors has approved a contract with the Region XII Council of Governments to assist in recodifying the county’s ordinances. It has been nearly a decade since the supervisors last completed a formal review of the county’s codebook, and the board voted unanimously to move forward at Monday’s meeting with the $3,000 agreement from Region XII. According to the contract, the agency will assist the county via technical assistance, draft ordinances, and input on the process. The scope of services will be completed in September 2025. Carroll County currently has more than three dozen specific ordinances pertaining to everything from Local Option Sales Tax (LOST) collections to wastewater fees in the county’s unincorporated communities.
